So this past week has been pretty exciting and busy. First off, it was the last full week of school of my high school career. Kinda cool, but then again it is kinda depressing. Next, I went to see Star Wars and I absolutly loved it. I mean, I have heard a lot of complaints about the movie, but I really really liked it. I also saw Kicking and Screaming with Will Ferell, and I loved it also. It was a super funny movie. Some parts you kinda think to your self "No way, did he just do that?" but it was still a really good movie. Friday night, we also went sliding at the park since we wanted to go in the pool before the water gets all dirty because of all the people that go in it. It was a fun night and luckily it wasn't that cold inside the water.
This weekend was the opening weekend at the park. I was looking forward to it a lot since it is the easiest job ever, and also the people there are just really really awesome. Then work actually came. When we were there, we just kept thinking, "what time is it?" and "I want to go home". I got to work maintainence for the pool for two of the three days, so that was pretty nice. Mostly I just checked the bathrooms, put in new trash bags, took out the booie, and today I got to pick up some poop that was in the pool! That was fun. Just used a skimmer, put it in a bag, and put some bleach in the area that it was. Some kid tried to tell me that it was a Snickers, but it sure as hell didn't smell like one. Well, it is officially summer in my book since work at the park has now started. Oh don't worry, I will have more stories about the park in future blogs. That's all from my end.

This past week has been pretty eventful. Thursday was our volleyball banquet and our coach is pretty much full of crap. About half of the awards that she gave out were to people who didn't even deserve them. There was three that were given to people who deserved them and the other two were to guys who didn't deserve them. I'm not trying to be a bigit since I didn't get an award, but the two guys honestly didn't deserve them. Especially one of them, who only got the award because he kisses the coachs butt. He honestly isn't that good at volleyball but he thinks he is the man at it. I honestly hate people like that, that talk so much crap and yet can do nothing to back it up especially in sports because I am a very competitive person. Funny story about earlier this year on the bus. JR called Mats cell phone (the cocky bastard who sucks) and pretended to be a recuiter from Florida State. He said all this stuff like "Matt, your a great player and we want you to come on out here" and yada yada yada. It was mean, but that was probably the best time we had on the bus all year. Also on thursday, we had a blood drive and I gave blood. Best part of the drive was that I got Rosies and yes I did give blood.
Friday the high school library had a fundraiser at Barnes and Noble. It was actuall a lot of fun. I went with Joel (of course) and we ate at this Chinesse restaurant. It was actually really good although I ate a pepper that I didn't see in my food and almost died. The highlight was that there were these really big straws at the restaurant and Joel broke the end of a pencil and shot it at a balloon and popped it. Probably doesn't sound exciting but it was actuallly pretty cool.
Yesterday we went down to my sisters house for lunch. It was actually pretty cool and the food was awesome. We had carne asada burritos and tacos that were just really good. We also watched "Meet the Fockers". It was my first time seeing the movie and it was actually pretty funny. I felt sorry for that little dog though. Reminds me of the little rat dog that we have. Also, I went and saw the school play last night. It was "The Return of the Pink Panther" and it was really good. The play was really simple but yet it was really funny and just overall a really good play. I would recomend to see it for those of you who haven't, but it's over now and you can't so that wouldn't really be doing much help. That's it from my end. Late

What a weekend, let me tell ya. I'll be a nice guy and actually start out in the order of what happened. On friday we had a CIF volleyball game. It was actually pretty exciting since we had more people at the game then we did at any one of our home basketball games. So that was pretty nice. The only bad thing is that we lost. I was actually really sad at the end since 1. I didn't get set that much and everytime that I did get set, I got a kill 2. it was the last time that I will ever play a real game in the ever famous YHS gym. Kinda scary if you think about it, but then again it is pretty exciting at the same time. Life will go on and I will leave for Hawaii and everybody will forget me, so in the end, life will go back to normal. Later on that night we went to Marks house, hit up the spa, watched Super Troopers and just had a good time. It was pretty cool although I felt kinda bad for Lauren since she was the only female there with six other guys. We made her feel better by throwing her in the really cold pool. Good times, good times.
Next came Saturday, which normaly comes after Friday and last week it did. Saturday was prom. It was a flippen blast! Honestly, it was probably the coolest night ever. I felt kinda bad for my date since she didn't really seem like she was having that good of a time, plus I had to take pictures with Student Council so I was gone for like 45 minutes, then I couldn't find her so I just danced with Lauren, but my date said she had a good time, so I'm going off of that. We went as friends anyways so that made it really easy and not awkward at all. The only problem that we had on Saturday was that we had a 24 passenger limo which broke down on the 91 freeway earlier that day. So, the girls that were pretty much in charge of the whole limo thing got really stressed out trying to find new limos, luckily found two (a 14 and 10 passenger), and we ended up having dinner at Joels house instead at a fancy Mexican restaurant. Actually, it's not really fancy since after all, it is Mexican, but the name is hard to spell and I don't want to look like a retard and spell it. After prom we went to Balboa pier and tried to go to Rubys at the end of the pier to get some milk shakes, but the lights went out right when we were walking up to it. So instead we went to Denny's and had the worst waitress in the world. It took her 15 minutes to come and take our orders, then 30 minutes to bring out our dessert's, then another 15 minutes to bring the check. I swear these type of waitress's do not deserve tips, thus nobody really gave her any money but I caved in and gave her two bucks.
Sunday was pretty uneventful. My mom woke me up at 8 to go to church, next thing I know, the door shuts, I close my eyes, and it's 11:30. Crazy, since I am a pretty light sleeper and don't normaly sleep in past 8:30. I was beat though. Even though I know Monday is not part of the weekend, my good buddy Allan Skags from Indy called me today and we chated for a while. He's one dang cool guy who just turned 19 today and has already put in his papers to go on a mission. Wish you the best Allan and happy birthday. Welp, that's all from my end. Late

I just returned from Indiana today. Wasn't the greatest event, but it was pretty cool. My brother Jeff graduated from law school at Indiana University. Don't get me wrong, it was awesome that he graduated, since after all he worked long and hard for three years but I didn't get a chance to see any of the people that I met from the summer. Oh well, it still turned out to be a good family bonding experience. Also it kinda sucks flying to a certain place, staying there for one day, then flying again the day after. So besides not seeing anybody that is pretty much the only other bummer. It was still good to see Jeff and his wife though.
One thing that I was able to do while I was there was eat at a place called Steak N Shake. I ate there the last time I was in Indy and they have really realy good shakes. The "steak" part of the name is just hamburgers so don't get your hopes up. I thought that they were really steakburgers at first, but they're not. One thing that I didn't do though is eat at White Castle. I wussed out since after all they call their burgers "sliders". Any food that is called a "slider" can not be something worth eating. That's it from my end. Late

Even though today is the 5/6/05, it was my personal Senior Ditch Day. The reason being is that yesterday was our last league volleyball game and you have to be in school in order to play in the game. I understand that and thus I decided to ditch today since I have nothing going on really. So my brother and I went to the movies and saw two movies. The first one was Kingdom Of Heaven, and I really enjoyed it. Then again, show me a movie which has a battle with swords, bows and arrows, axes, and all that stuff, and chances are I really will like it. This movie was about the Crusades and the Christians and Muslems fighting for Jerusalem and it had a good story behind it. Quite a bit of blood but it was still awesome to see. The next movie was The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy which, I have to admit, I did not want to see at first. However, I was pleasently suprised about it. It was a pretty funny movie, story a bit weird but still I thought all in all it was pretty decent. So that was what my senior ditch day consisted of.
Like I said earlier, yesterday was our last league game for volleyball. We were at REV and beat them pretty easily. So we have playoffs next, which should be pretty cool since we have a chance to go pretty far. I'm pretty excited about that and should be fun. Also, this weekend I am going to Indiana for my brothers graduation from law school. I'm actually looking forward to it and hopefully I get to see some of the people that I met from last summer. Welp, that's all from my end. Late

Time now for a long awaited update. It's been about a week or so since my last update and honestly not a whole lot has happened since my last update. We are going to finish in second place for volleyball this year, which is pretty exciting. Every year so far we have finished in a higher position then the year before, so that is good news for the program. My brother also has returned from college in Hawaii. He will be chillen out here all summer until fall when he leaves again to go to England for grad school. So it is good to have him back home. It no longer feels empty here since after all I am the last to leave home and have been here with only my parents for a long time. It's pretty nice and all, but I just missed the guy.
Anywho, the biggest thing that has happened to me this past week or so was the Relay For Life at our school. It was a big cancer walk at our school that lasted for 24 hours. It was honestly a blast. I walked a ton for the Block Y team that day but it was really worth it. Our team had a blast there, played games, hung out and talked, and most of all just listened to AJs stories. It was such a blast and I am actually really sad that I didn't get a chance to be a part of it last year. Well, tomorrow is my birthday, so that is going to be pretty sweet. Hopefully soon I will be able to get my liscense so then I can finally not have my parents drive me everywhere. Well, that's about it from my end. Late
